These hooks aren't that sharp and the red paint chips off easy.

I use these hooks for texas rigged worms and they work great. They're very sharp, stay sharp, and don't bend under normal circumstances. Great hooks for most applications.

these hooks are extra sharp. i use them for alot of my worm rigs. the hook sets on my fish are almost certain to succeed as long as i have one of these on, and a great lure of course :] but gamakatsu is a little pricey, but ya gotta get quality.

I have been using these worm hooks since i have been fishing and there has not one time been a problem with them. Other hooks just don't cut it. I would recommend any kind of gamakatsu hooks to any fisherman.
