Gamakatsu® Hooks - Straight Shank Worm
There are hooks with more technical designs, but not many of them can match the Gamakatsu Straight Shank Worm Hook's performance. Great for finessing, flipping and pitching worms, these Straight Shank Worm Hooks with light wire build and conically sharpened points deliver the perfect combination of strength and flexibility.

It has been a pretty reliable hook and can be used on all sorts of baits. It's one of those hooks that can be used just about on any bait and would recommend to any fisherman.

I used the straight shank hook by using a worm threader and blowing up the worm with air. I caught 5 (2-3 lb)rainbow trout.

I GET BETTER HOOK SETS WITH THE STRAIGHT SHANK HOOK. THE DOWN SIDE IS THAT THE BAIT SLIPS DOWN THE SHANK SOMETIMES WHEN YOU GIVE IT A GOOD HEAVE BUT THE HOOK SET RATIO IS WORTH IT, THEY LOSE THEIR POINT PRETTY QUICK BUT THATS THE ONLY DOWNSIDE.
