This is an extremely thick, strong and sharp hook. I purchased the 5/0 for use Bass fishing with swimbaits.
But, that size was a mistake even for most swimbaits. It is too large and will tear up the mouth of even large Bass.
Take some advice from my mistake and use a 3/0 or 4/0 which will be much kinder and gentler on Bass and help protect a precious resource.
I don't use the 5/0 size any longer for Bass.
