A longtime favorite for many anglers, Gamakatsu hooks offer superior strength and durability, due to high-carbon steel construction and a unique tempering process. This ultra-sharp hook assortment includes the standard EWG worm hook in 2/0, 3/0, and 4/0 sizes, plus the Superline EWG in 3/0 and 4/0 (ideal for braided lines). Kit includes a total of 25 hooks, in two colors and five sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the 3/0 Just tried these 3/0 EWG for my worms/plastics. I spend a lot more time getting hook out of fish because once they're hook then they don't come out easy. they really work! May 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hooks The hooks were great. The super line hooks were great when fishing thick cover. Over all the hooks are great super sharp great hook set with any of the hooks, and they come in both colors which is good when fishing different colored baits. Hoped this helps March 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Important Item Not using top quality hooks is like buying retreads for you car. The good stuff is necessary and doesn't cost that much more than the also rans. Gamakatsu EWG WideGap Hooks are excellent. For fishing with mono the standard hook is a very strong choice. If you are fishing with braid their Superline hooks are top notch. Gamakatsu and Owners are the only hooks I ever use. December 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by gamakatsu hooks Some people say a hook is a hook. I tell them to compare a rusty old dull hook to these. They go through the fishes lip like butter, and I have only bent one on a submerged tree. A hook is not a hook, unless it is a Gamakatsu. May 8, 2010

You stick it through the nose, push it out, put the nose on the bend near the eye, and insert the tip in the worm.

A:
All depends on the situation and the type of rig that you are trying to use. For example: For a texas rig, you would want a wide or extra wide gap, with about a 2/0-5/0 depending on the species targeted. For live bait, a straight shank hook, like an Eagle Claw would work best.
