I use these big EWG trebles to replace worn out hooks on big topwater lures both for salterwater and freshwater. Highly recommended.

I change most of my hooks on crankbaits with Gamakatsu EWG trebles. I use size 4 for mid hooks and size 6 for tail. I also change my trout lures with size 6.They are sharp and stay sharp and have not disappointed me. Give em a try you'll be hooked....

I have used these hooks for going on about 2 years now I have to say they live up to their name in production on the lake. not only do they maintain hook set, but they are very durable. Other hooks similar to these such as Mustad's kvd elite, or the stingers from owner give good results on the hook sets but they don't last as long for prolonged use as these. There has been countless times where I have had to use the pliers to pull these out of the fish and they can be quite tough and take a beating trying to unhook these. but hey still hold their true shape and sharpness for months to years as the others get a slight bend and throw the swim of the bait off or dull up a bit and need to be replaced or resharpened. You cant go wrong with Gamakatsu. They know what fishermen need. Get some and stay hooked!
