My friend turned me onto circle hooks. The fish does all the work, a strike, DON'T try and set the hook. Pressure is all that's needed, the fish does all the work. Circle hooks are the cat's meow for bottom lines. I get 3oz bluegill on an 8/0 hook. Hook size matters for the big fish. Easy to remove. Fish don't swallow larger hooks like fish consume small hooks. Big hooks get both large and small fish. ONE GREAT HOOK design!! Picture a 9# channel cat taken on 6/0 circle hook.

i bought 3 of these kits a few months ago and the circle hooks are too big for the catfish i was catching i keept hooking them through the mouth into the eye.
