Gamakatsu makes the best hook for any fishing situation. I used these in the 2/0 size for bottom rigging Berkley Gulp shrimp in the OBX surf.

I purchase these 7/0 hooks to make trolling rigs that will be used for King Salmon, Silver Salmon, and Halibut.
Size and stiffness are excelent. I gave the hooks a rating of good (four stars) because I will have to sharpen each one before use. It is not a big deal, but an anoyance.
I would reccomend this hook to anyone needing this style and size of hook. I will continue to buy them.

We are always dependent on very sharp hooks to successful catch hard month fresh water fishes, like the huge red tail bass or the tambaqui. No chances of scaping with those sharp hooks.

5 per. I'm pretty sure the catalog give the quantities for all hooks.

The quantity per package varies with the size of the hook.1/0 have 6 per package
2/0 and 3/0 have 5 per package
4/0 and 5/0 have 4 per package
6/0 and 7/0 have 3 per package
and 8/0, 9/0, and 10/0 have 2 per package.
