Rated 5 out of 5 by Big fish eat big flies! I caught this 34" big fella while fishing for browns at one of my favorite "holes" in one of my local rivers. What sold me on this fly was the way that it undulates in the water with the current in between strips. And it does the same on the drift, which is exactly where this pike slammed it. Big flies have to be built to take the punishment, and this one so far meets that criteria. If the fish destroy the fly after just a couple of battles, you have to buy more. That may be ok with small streamers or dry flies, but when you're spending this kind of money, they better last. Judging from what I've seen so far, these will. Remember: big fish eat big flies!
