Whether it's for back-up power, camping, tailgating, or light-duty construction, the GOAL ZERO™ Yeti 1250 Solar Generator Kit gets the job done. Silent and safe, the Yeti 1250 Solar Generator KIT can be used indoors or out. Power a refrigerator for 12+ hours, a chest freezer for a week, a TV for 35 hours!

Charge your Yeti 1250 in 24-48 hours from the sun with GOAL ZERO's two Boulder™ 30 Solar Panels (included), made from tempered glass with an aluminum frame. You can even chain additional Boulder 30 panels together for additional power.

I got one, then 4 friends did too. I bought this as an emergency backup for my refrigerator and other needed power. Tested it with my 25 cubic ft fridge with normal day time in and out. Full charge to 40% in 18 hours, with normal use. If I were being careful I'm sure it would have been over 24 hrs. I have 3 panels and like the Escape 30 panels better, but they require an adaptor and I don't get anywhere near 30 w from it. More like 17. Well made, very durable, but heavy. I have long cables for my panels because I can't carry the Yeti outside to charge, nor do I want it sitting in the sun all day. So the Yeti sits under a table at the door and I run a 30' extension out to the panels. August 14, 2013
Very pleased I've got the Yeti 1250 plus 8 Boulder 50 panels that we use to keep the 110 volt refrigerator running in our 5th wheel trailer while we are on the move. It will power the refrigerator for 18 to 20 hours without a problem. I am planning to expand the capacity with another battery soon as I would like to be able to run a few lights and other things as well as the refrigerator. The only problem I've had since I installed the system is the lack of reliable how-to information, but the questions I've had have been answered promptly by the support personnel. Eventually, I will probably get a second unit as well. Well worth the expense. September 2, 2013
so far so good Using for backup for power outages. Neighbors have gas generators that let the world know what you have is available for stealing because they have to be used outside. Tried last night as test (just bought) and will run the fan on my wood stove for 15 hours or TV for 12. Will be doing test on fridge. Does charge slow but its winter and I have a bunch of trees blocking my sun access. Will be daisy chaining 2 batteries because can easily keep them charged. Charging my 1250 right now with 4 boulder 30s outside on a tripod and a 30 feet extension running through dryer vent in wall so yeti stays safely in the house. December 12, 2013
Goal Zero Yeti 1250 solar generator kit Needs to be rechargeable by pedal power (bicycle) due to no sun at night, periods of inclement weather, and ...social chaos potentially limiting/interupting solar recharging at times. Then we are talking REAL value and quality. Note...as a logistician was responsible for disaster preparedness (planning) for one of the military services geographic areas of responsibility as well as crisis action teams (responding). Next to water and food, medical and security (all of which can be stockpiled) ...Off grid independent power source the most critical need. Former field grade officer and MENSA member sends.
