A perfect backup gun specifically designed for concealed carry, the GLOCK G27 .40 S&W Subcompact Pistol delivers the same safety and reliability as a full size GLOCK in a size previously occupied only by snub nose revolvers. Like larger GLOCKs, the G27 pairs a corrosion-resistant, ergonomic, stronger-than-steel polymer frame with a durable cold-hammered steel slide and barrel coated with GLOCK's high tech Tenifer 64 HRC surface treatment. The Safe Action trigger system teams a trigger safety, trigger bar, and firing pin lock that automatically deactivate one after another as the trigger engages. GLOCK barrels feature rounded interior profiles for easier cleaning and longer lasting precision. Loaded chamber indicator. Double action. Black finish. Fixed sights. Weight: 19.75 oz. Capacity: 9+1 rounds.

As much as I hate to admit it once I did used the warranty to get a replacement guide rod since then it has worked really well. To be fair this could happen to any gun. It is a great C&C weapon as long as you remember that there is not active safety on the gun and take you precautions from there. A good gun but not one I would recommend for the first time buyer.

The Glock 27 is a great little back up or carry weapon. 9 or 10 plus one capacity, great stopping power and a reliable small weapon are some strong selling points.
I carry a Glock 22 on duty with 4 15 round magazines total on my duty belt. If I happen to have a duty weapon failure in an active shooter situation, I can always pull my back up and use the magazines on my belt. Kinda looks weird, but it can be done and it works. That is very comforting while on duty.
I have to use the plus one grip extensions. I have small hands, but my pinky still slides off the bottom of the factory 9 round magazine. Its very hard to fire this weapon without them. I suggest if you purchase a Glock 27, that you get the plus one mag extensions for comfort. They don't add much weight at all and still conceal very well.

This pistol is perfect in size and flawless in design and function. I love mine and think that the reputation that Glock has acheived is well deserved. It never fails me and always hits its mark. You will never go wrong with a Glock. Every police officer that I know carries Glock as both their on duty and off duty gun, as does lots of other law enforcement and military personel around the world. To me, Glock is to modern times as what Colt was to the old west.

I bought mine six years ago and couldn't be happier. That's saying a lot because I considered myself a "Sig guy." A friend encouraged me to give the Glock 27 a chance. I was immediately converted to a "Glock guy!" I've found the construction to be very durable, the performance to be reliable, and the shooting experience truly remarkable. Some say the recoil is hard to get used to, but I've found it managable. I purchased a Lone Wolf 9 mm conversion barrel to save money on ammo costs, but also practice with the original .40 barrel. I've found that both are similarly fun to shoot, and I've NEVER had a misfeed (even using cheap Blazer Brass or white box Winchester.. The gun is small enough for concealed carry in an IWB holster. Of course, It's also easy to swap magazines with other Glock pistols. Highly recommended without reservations.

I am looking to eventually get a handgun for Conceal Carry. I want some more power then a 9mm, but not the price of a .45, so I have been looking at the .40 S&W.So, would this be a good firearm for a CCWL?

Yes, the Glock 27 is great for concealed carry. I first tried a Glock 23, but it was just slightly too big to be easily concealed (even though I am 6'5" and wear Hawaiian shirts untucked). So I got the 27 and I carry it all the time every day. It's the perfect combination of size and stopping power.Answers

No. That's an optional feature.A:Â
This is a add on feature that cannot be purchased from basspro online unless you call them to see if they can order one for you. It is the same as getting the nightglo sights they are offereing as an add on. In my opinion i would stray away from these internal lock mechanisms. It becomes more parts that can or will possibly break on you. Then your gun will become a boat anchor.1 of 1
