Reliability and simplicity have made GLOCK® G23 Semi-Auto Pistol one of the most widely used law enforcement firearms worldwide. The G23 is a mid-size service pistol, shooting the .40 S&W pistol cartridge, a standard law enforcement round with proven knock down power. The GLOCK 23 is a short-recoil operated, striker-fire semi-automatic pistol. The Safe-Action trigger system makes shooting in stressed situations infallible. The main frame of the GLOCK pistol is constructed of high-strength polymer that is resistant to shock, caustic liquids, and temperature extremes. The milled steel slide and the barrel are treated with matte black Tenifer finish for extreme resistance to wear and corrosion. The Tenifer treated steel and polymer frame make the pistol impervious to corrosion caused by perspiration and humidity when carried close to the body, or kept in a holster for extended periods of time. The slide cycles on 4 hardened steel guide rails within the frame. An integral accessory rail in front of the trigger guard allows for the attachment of aftermarket tactical flashlights or laser sights. The white-dot front sight and the white-bracket rear sight provide rapid acquisition in dim lighting situations. The rear sight is dovetailed into the slide and is drift adjustable. GLOCK pistols fieldstrip easily without the use of tools. The GLOCK G23 Semi-Auto Pistol is an ultra-reliable handgun that is easy to learn how to operate and maintain, making it an ideal choice for self-defense, whether it be for concealed carry, at home, or on duty. The model G23 comes with two standard 13-round magazines or two 10-round magazines that comply with various city or state restrictions on magazine capacity.

Glock 23 GEN4 I've had a Glock 22 since I was about 17. Always loved Glocks for their styling and performance. Took mine along when hunting and to college when I graduated, but never concealed carried until I got my permit. After carrying for a few weeks, I discovered that the G22 was just too big to conceal. Even on a hip holster, sitting in the seat of my truck was murder. So I sold my G22 and bought a new G23 GEN4 and I am very pleased with its performance. I read about the apparent "problems" people were having with theirs but mine has none so far. The new spring is a major improvement on the recoil. After a few hundred rounds, I couldn't feel any aches in my wrist like I would with my 22. If you're debating whether to get the 23 or 22, I would say definitely get the 23. Basically the same gun but the 23 is just a little more compact with a full-sized feel. I also compared a G27 side by side with the G23 and it is a little smaller but the grip just isn't enough for my hands. It felt almost loose with my pinky hanging off the bottom. I remember at the store thinking, if I'm gonna have to use this, I'm probably going to be scared and have a death-grip on this gun. with the G27, I just felt that I couldn't get a tight enough grip for me (Just my opinion). The 23 has the perfect grip and is still very easy to conceal. I love it. January 30, 2012
Great gun! Bought this gun almost 2 years ago and have never been happier. It is lightweight, holds 13 rounds in the mag and you can carry it comfortably. The .40 has a lot of stopping power. Fun gun to shoot. November 14, 2011
