Giving you the balanced performance of the big energy .40 S&W cartridge in a full size pistol, the GLOCK G22 closes the gap between the heavy hitting .45 and the internationally proven 9mm. GLOCK's corrosion-resistant, ergonomically ideal, stronger-than-steel polymer frame provides a strong base that dampens recoil. The durable cold-hammered steel slide and barrel are coated with GLOCK's high tech Tenifer 64 HRC surface treatment. Safe Action trigger system teams a trigger safety, trigger bar, and firing pin lock that automatically deactivate one after another as the trigger engages. The barrel's rounded interior profile offer easier cleaning and longer lasting precision. Loaded chamber indicator. Built-in mounting rails for tactical lights or laser sights. Double action. Fixed sights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by My duty weapon "My duty weapon" Through 3 different agency's, my duty weapon has been the Glock 22. I am not a fan of the 40 S&W round, but Department's require it. It has plenty of stopping power and magazine capacity for duty use. The 40 S&W is too snappy for my tastes. Ammo is way over priced due to its popularity. With that said, more officers carry it over anything else. Small framed people can easily handle the weapon and the recoil. I just prefer a 10mm or 45. As for the gun its self, not a bad thing can be said. 15 plus 1 capacity, small frame, very ergonomic and reliable as all get out. If you carry a Glock 23 or a Glock 27, the full size Glock 22 mags will interchange for use. My back up is a Glock 27. The ability to use my duty mags in case of a weapon failure is very comforting. They will stick out and look different, but its 100% functional. Law Enforcement agency's around the country carry the Glock 22 for a reason. Reliability, stopping power and comfort are just a few of the reasons. Cops carry what works. This gun is a tank! September 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not sexy...but my go-to gun I own four handguns including a Colt .22 1911, a Ruger .45 1911 and a Beretta .9mm. All three are by far better looking guns. Which one do I like best? My "ugly" Glock 22! It is by far the best of the four...easiest to shoot, clean and handle. I keep it as my preferred personal defense weapon and my favorite target shooter. If your only going to invest in one gun, make it a Glock. April 27, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Really Good Pistol I bought this pistol after researching and reading reveiws. I decide to go with the glock over the springfield xd because glock has a superior reputation i put 200 rounds through it the first day with no jams or misfires using cheap bulk target ammo whic has caused havoc on my other pistols this is an awesome gun think everyone should own one January 24, 2012

The one in the picture is a gen 2. a gen 3 has finger grips and an accessory rail for a laser or tactical light. Steer clear of the new gen 4 till they can solve the issue with the recoil spring. Glock just started a voluntary recall on gen 4's due to spring malfunctions.
