GLOCK® G17 High Capacity Pistol
Its a glock world
I love to shoot Glocks, I have a gen 4 g17 that is my standard range gun. One of the reasons I like this gun so much is that there are so many options of what you can do with it. The stock gun is perfect for home defense, it’s a wonderful gun and leaves very little to be desire. However that being said if you know what your doing (and if you don’t I don’t recommend you try) you can really customize this pistol to do some impressive things. I have replaced a good number of the internals with upgraded parts and have made a boarder line competition gun. Glocks are everywhere and so are their accessories, and after market parts. These guns are so simple and easy to tune you can make it do exactly what you want.

SIMPLY THE BEST !
My Glock 17 has never jammed once. I wish it were a tad bit more accurate though. Seems to shoot a bit left as alot of Glock reviewers claim. Some of that is me though Im sure. Still, very satisfied with this highly dependable, easy maintenance handgun. 600 bucks though?! Thats 150 dollars more than I paid for my new one. So, Im giving the gun a 5 star rating, not the price

All around great gun
I got this gun back in 1991. I have put countless rounds through it and it has never jammed on me. I just do the basic cleaning on it. I have yet to replace any parts on it. For me it really shines when I'm doing tactical shooting no need for all the mod's that alot of the other people do to there pistol's. The only draw back is if you have small hands it could be a problem

Although this was my first handgun, it is still my favorite. The G17 just works! It's also very easy to clean.
Be aware that this is a combat-type weapon. All safeties are internal so when your finger pulls the trigger, it will fire! When your finger is off the trigger, you can drop it, throw it, anything, and it will NOT fire. This is my self-defense carry weapon and when I need to use it, I don't want to deal with external, lever or button-type, safeties.
This weapon is also quite accurate. My normal practice distance is 16 yds (50 feet) which is further than I would ever have to use it in a self-defense situation. Even at that range with standard sights I can shoot groups within 4" every time.
