Rated 4 out of 5 by brodheads I just got these brodheads and love them they fly amazing and i love the fact that they are a practice tip, but the only problem is that when you shoot, large chunks of foam come out when pulling the arrows out, but otherwise the are aweome January 2, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by good practice tips I bought these practice broadheads in 100 grain. Iplan to use the regular montecs for my first archery season at 32 years old. they fly just like the regular montecs but I was shooting them at my new "The Block" target and immediatly noticed that large pieces of foam were coming out with the arrows. Besides that they work very well. August 5, 2008

Rated 5 out of 5 by saves your hunting broadheads The G5 Pre-Season is a great practice point. The broadheads always fly slightly different than field points, and the Montec allows a safe way to practice. No more sliced finger tips, less damage to my target with less penetration, and no more dulling my hunting broadheads. I have found it easier to remove the arrows if I use a file to put a slight edge to the backside of the broadhead. November 7, 2007

I bought the Montec's last night but didn't see the preseason ones for crossbows. If they are the same thread that's fine but they are in different packages so want to make sure. I'm still new to all this. If they don't make them for my bolts would the 100 gr. Hellraisers by G5 be about the same since you have those in the store. Couldn't find anyone to help me with crossbow stuff last night that knew what they where doing. But everyone starts somewhere right.

Yes it will screw in, but the base of the broadhead might not fit the front of the bolt correctly. Would be like using an incorrect diameter field tip. I would suggest using the 125gr for crossguns.

The preseason Montec is the same size, grain and thread as the real broadheads. The only difference is that the sharpness. See my photo.
