Get the best practice possible for hunting with G5® Outdoors Pre-Season Montec Practice Point Fixed-Blade Broadheads. Dimensionally identical to the Montec broadhead, achieving the same consistencies of flight and accuracy - making this the perfect preseason tuneup arrow point. Its "field point" is actually a rounded-edge 3-blade broadhead, which keeps target wear to a minimum. Cutting diameter: 1-1/8". Designed as a practice point, not for actual hunting. 3 pack.

Practice Broadheads I was using the G5 Pre-Season Practice Point Fixed Blade Broadhead today target shooting, and it shot quite well, it pulled out of the tight hay bails without any damage. I would recommend this product if you are going to shoot the G5's, so you can site your bow in to point of impact with broadheads. Too bad all the companies don't make practice broadheads, it would also be nice if they sold broadheads in single packs so you could test them out. September 27, 2007
g5 preseason Love 'em!... They fly exactly like my field points. If you are on a budget and don't want to sacrifice too many of your actual hunting broadheads to practice yet, this is the way to go. Being able to practice extensively with them has helped me put a lot of confidence in my shooting for real in the field. I recommend to anyone who is buying broadheads to make sure you get the practice heads if they are available whatever kind you choose. October 12, 2010
saves your hunting broadheads The G5 Pre-Season is a great practice point. The broadheads always fly slightly different than field points, and the Montec allows a safe way to practice. No more sliced finger tips, less damage to my target with less penetration, and no more dulling my hunting broadheads. I have found it easier to remove the arrows if I use a file to put a slight edge to the backside of the broadhead. November 7, 2007
Money well spent! I bought myself a set of 85 grain G5 Montecs but didn't want to dull them by shooting through targets before season started, so I also purchased the preseasons. They are the same thing as the actual broadhead, only not sharpened, so they fly very true in comparison to what you'll use when out in the field. Very happy with the investment on these pre-seasons and highly recommend! September 2, 2013

I bought the Montec's last night but didn't see the preseason ones for crossbows. If they are the same thread that's fine but they are in different packages so want to make sure. I'm still new to all this. If they don't make them for my bolts would the 100 gr. Hellraisers by G5 be about the same since you have those in the store. Couldn't find anyone to help me with crossbow stuff last night that knew what they where doing. But everyone starts somewhere right.

Yes it will screw in, but the base of the broadhead might not fit the front of the bolt correctly. Would be like using an incorrect diameter field tip. I would suggest using the 125gr for crossguns.

The preseason Montec is the same size, grain and thread as the real broadheads. The only difference is that the sharpness. See my photo.
