Rated 5 out of 5 by Great broadhead The G5 is the best value out there I use a 125 on my crossbow bolt. It flies true and cuts like no other. December 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT PURCHASE THIS IS MY 3RD YEAR USING THE G5 MONTES 100 GR SS BROADHEAD. GREAT SHOOTING BROADHEAD AND A FAIR PRICE AT 34.99. SO FAR I HAVE 3 FRIENDS USING THEM AFTER THEY SAW THE DAMAGE IT DID ON MY BUCK LAST YEAR. October 11, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! Razor sharp! True flight. Two field points and two Monatec's group in a 2 inch circle. Haven't had the pleasure of sinking one into a deer yet, but have all the faith in the world that it will get the job done! September 24, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Just poor I was excited about trying these this year, for my first bow season. I bought the practice tips and have been shooting extremely well out to 50 yards. these heads on my easton n fused fmj 400 grain arrows are incredible. 6 inch groups at 50 yards 2 inches at 20. It has been three days into the season I have shot at two bucks and a doe. one buck I shot over his back, all my fault.....the other had a heart shot, and the doe was a bit far back but still got both lungs. Both were complete pass through. My problem is not the flight or accuracy, its the lack of blood trail, and the durability. All three broad heads are destroyed beyond sharpening, I need to replace them. and there hasnt been a blood trail to find. I recoverd both deer on my own resolve. each one the trail stopped after 20 or 30 yards. and I spent the entire day wandering in the woods searching. I am making the switch to muzzy's and see where that takes me this week. September 17, 2011

They will fly and perform good from a crossbow but Montec aldo has these same broadheads, designed for crossbow. They are a little more "beefed up" in the middle to be able to take bigger schock.

There are targets speciffically designed for broadheads and you can safely shoot these. I own l Reinhart 3D buck target and l shoot it all the time. No problem.

I shoot them ( practice heads ) into my delta elite boar target and it does very well it gives you a realistic impact on an animal and the black background allows you see the arrow impact from 40 plus yards out easily

A:
Any dense foam or layered foam target (i.e. Glen Del buck or Block) will work fine, but the more you shoot into them, the more cuts and the less arrow retention you will have in your target. Also dulls the broad head. Recommend the practice Monatecs for target shooting. They weigh and fly the same as the steel, and wont dull.

Yes if it is a foam target but no if its a bag target they will get stuck in a bag target and you can shoot foam targets but they will cut your target up if you keep shooting them

A:
It depends on the target. These, like most all broadheads will do quite a bit of damage to a target. I've found that block targets work pretty well. Just don't expect the target to last a very long time.

They are fine to shoot into any target designed for broad heads. Check to be sure your target is recommended for broad head usage. I keep the target from last year to place behind to ensure I do not have a complete pass thru. Vary the aim points, I will use spray paint to put additional small target points on target and rotate using all sides to extend the life. I also shoot 3 field point arrows and 1 with the broad head practice blades to prolong target life. This also confirms same point of impact.
