Great Broadhead The broadhead flies like a field point no matter how it's screwed onto my arrow, (and I'm shooting 305 fps) the only one I've broke is one I hit a rock on the pass through, leaves good blood trails and most of the time the deer is layin no further than 75 yards out, buy the g5 sharpening stone and you'll be using the same pack for a long time... Great Product November 28, 2010
No Blood Trail I'm not an expert bowhunter by any means, but I'm not satisfied with the performance of this broadhead. Maybe it works for others, but I made a clean broadside shot on a doe from the ground at about 15 yds. I saw the arrow hit the deer in the boiler maker and couldn't find a single drop of blood after searching for 4 hrs! I'm not the only one this has happened to with this broadhead. I'm glad it works for others, but for the price I expected much more. This hunter is switching to Muzzy! November 24, 2010
the best on the market This broadhead along with the carbon g5 is the best on the market. Its razor sharp and has incredible bone crushing ability. i have never had to look for a deer more than 40 yards away always whatch them drop with this broadhead i highly recommend this to everyone and especially those stubborn hunters still not finding deer because they are using RAGE(worst broadhead on the market)imo and many of others lol November 21, 2010
Best Broadhead in my book I've been using the G5 Montec since they were first released and have over 30 harvests with them. After trying mechanicals and many other fixed blades I will never change from the Montec. They provide deep, bone crushing penetration; and an easy to follow blood trail. I'm still using the 2-packs of broadheads from my original purchase. Sharpening is simple and quick. No regrets. November 20, 2010

A:
Any dense foam or layered foam target (i.e. Glen Del buck or Block) will work fine, but the more you shoot into them, the more cuts and the less arrow retention you will have in your target. Also dulls the broad head. Recommend the practice Monatecs for target shooting. They weigh and fly the same as the steel, and wont dull.

Yes if it is a foam target but no if its a bag target they will get stuck in a bag target and you can shoot foam targets but they will cut your target up if you keep shooting them

A:
It depends on the target. These, like most all broadheads will do quite a bit of damage to a target. I've found that block targets work pretty well. Just don't expect the target to last a very long time.

They are fine to shoot into any target designed for broad heads. Check to be sure your target is recommended for broad head usage. I keep the target from last year to place behind to ensure I do not have a complete pass thru. Vary the aim points, I will use spray paint to put additional small target points on target and rotate using all sides to extend the life. I also shoot 3 field point arrows and 1 with the broad head practice blades to prolong target life. This also confirms same point of impact.
