These are the rods that put G.Loomis on the map. Crafted with super-high modulus graphite and re-fined to the highest level of performance, the G.Loomis IMX Series is legendary for distance, accuracy, sensitivity and strength. Did we mention that they're incredibly lightweight, too?

Rated 5 out of 5 by simply the best If you haven't fished with a loomis rod imx or glx you don't know what you are missing. My friend turned me toward these rods about ten years ago and i will say this. Once you have fished with a loomis you don't want to fish with any thing else. They are light weight and by far the most sensitive rods on the market. Buy one and I will guarentee the best rod you will ever own. July 21, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by this rod is amazing i have a 6ft 6 imx medium action and i love it. it was worth every cent of my money. i researched everyrod before i bought this one and i definately have no regrets. it consistantly out fishes my avid rod and with a stradic on this reel its deadly. the sensitivity, strenght, and power are just rediculous. Ive taken this rod everywhere and no fish has yet to be a problem. This rod has excellent versitility for bass fishing, everything from topwater to crankbaits ,to jigging, to finesse, small spinnerbaits, jigging, shaky worms, wacky rigging, weightless. this rod has it all it is simply phenominal and the only rod better than it is probably the glx. Rated 5 out of 5 by G-LOOMIS IMX 7' I have 2 IMX 7' rods both with Quantum Energy PTi reels & they are great. I love all of my G-loomis rods, the IMX is one of the finest rods you can buy & you will not be let down, they are top notch, have great warrantys & make a day on the water that much better!!! HSR9000S, I have this model in the GL2. And It is too soft. Wondering If the IMX has a stiffer tip. How does it compare to the 7'4'' bronze back spinning rod.

A:
It is stiffer but not like the bronzeback. The IMX is more of an all around rod. Very sensitive but not super fast. The bronzebacks are faster for sure.

IMX's usually run stiffer then other rods, I have 2 7'6" 6-12lb and they feel significantly more backbone in them then say my Shimano cumara 7'6 8-16lb...When clients of mine ask me what kinda rod they should buy for themselves if it's an IMX i always tell them to go a size lighter and they are always pleasentely suprised with the backbone the rod has.
