G.Loomis GL3 Trigger Rod
Sensitive, strong, everything you could ask for!
I paired this rod with a Shimano Chronarch 150, and the first thing I noticed was the outstanding sensitivity with less weight than my Fishing Tackle Unlimited "Green Rods", which are great in their own right. The sensitivity allows you to feel fish when they are biting very light, and yet it has the beef to handle oversized Redfish (over 28" in Texas). I own a G2, and this G3, while not as stout, has every bit the backbone. Yes, this is an upscale rod, but you know, sometimes you get what you pay for.

I purchased this rod, after having purchased 2 IMX rods. Honestly wish I had tried these rods first. I know the IMX is supposed to be a step up from the GL3, but now, owning them both, I'll take the GL3 every time. By far the better of the two IMO. Save the extra 40 bucks or so, and get yourself a GL3. I promise, you wont be sorry.

the loomis rod is very sensitive and very light...however the extreme rod is nearly as light and just a smidgen less sensitive. the extreme rod is a better value.
