Rated 5 out of 5 by crappiemagicman Great setup
This rod pairs perfectly for my quantum smoke reels. I use it mostly for crappie but It catches 5-6 lb bass too. It's an all around great rod. A bit pricey but worth it to me. This rod and a couple st. Croix rods are my goto rods on most days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by leftytroutfishman not for left handed people
do not buy this if you are left handed i found this out after i got it so i returned the rod because the hook keeper on this and all g loomis rods i have seen is placed on the left side of the rod making it very akward for left handed people to use with out switching the rod to your right hand

A FEW YEARS AGO I DECIDED TO GO LITE FOR WALLEYE. YOU JUST DON'T MISS ANY BITES USING A 6' ULTRALITE WITH 6LB BRAIDED LINE WITH A 4LB FLUROCARBON TIPIT.
I FEEL I CATCH MORE FISH THAN THE PERSON USING A 6-7' MEDIUM ACTION ROD THAT MOST USE.
