There are other high-modulus graphite rods as tough and durable as the GL3, but not one of them can match it for weight. The G.Loomis® GL2 Casting Rod's featherweight construction generates increased casting distance, greater accuracy, more sensitivity— and less fatigue than costlier rods.

Bass are cover-oriented. Therefore, you must choose a rod with the right action to cast accurately, to fish the bait as it was designed, and to provide the power needed to bring them in to the boat. G.Loomis GL2 Casting Rods combine the power, sensitivity, finesse and actions to get the job done—all at an affordable price. These completely re-designed GL2 Trigger Rods feature a split-grip handle engineered for high performance bass fishing. Anglers who prefer to put the rod butt under their arm will discover that the rod’s unique, flat-sided fighting-butt provides ergonomic comfort. G. Loomis GL2 Casting Rods are light, strong and reliable. Made in USA.

  • Light, strong and reliable
  • Split-grip handle affords ergonomic comfort
  • Increased sensitivity
  • Extreme durability
  • Manufacturer’s Limited Lifetime Warranty

Sensitive^^^ So I own lew's, abu garcia, shimano, some bass pro rods and st croix. Never really any expensive rods. I won a tournament so I decided to treat myself with the winnings. This rod is super sensitive I could feel every piece of cover my lure would hit on the bottom. So I loved the sensitivity but questioned the back bone. Had a tournament this past saturday which erased most of my concerns. I must've caught 30 fish with the biggest being 4.5# in which this rod handled it like it was a 1lber. So far I'm a believer in the G Loomis GL2, I have the 7'1'' Medium xfast tip. October 6, 2014
Big PNG Black Bass/Barramundi I bought this rod for catching hard fighting fresh water fish in the 40 lb and up range. I have caught several over 40 pounds on it and it has been just what was needed to pull these fish out of timber. April 22, 2012
G.L.2 REBORN AFTER RECIEVING MY NEW WARRANTEED GL2 SPLIT GRIP I CAN TRULY SAY IT PERFORMS BETTER AND FASTER THAN THE ORIGINAL I RETURNED AFTER ALMOST A DECADE DUE TO A FACTORY DEFECT.(the blank came loose from the cork grip) THE CONTROL AND FEEL ALONG WITH THE EASE OF HANDLING CAST AFTER CAST WAS REALLY GRATIFYING AND A HECK OF A LOT OF FUN TO BOOT!!! I STILL USE THE BROWNING AGGRESSORS I PURCHASED YEARS AGO (lefty's) AS THEY WORK BEAUTIFULLY IN TANDEM WITH THIS NEW REBORN ROD. THE FLAT BUTT DESIGN IS WAY BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL AND I CAN PUSH IT AGAINST MY BODY OR UNDER MY ARM TO FIGHT LARGER FISH. FITS LIKE A GLOVE IN MY HAND FISHES LIGHT AS A G. LOOMIS SHOULD. ONE HAPPY CAMPER!!! December 12, 2011
awesome rod purchased the jig/worm rod for the specified application.paired it up with a Curado E7 spooled with 50# powerpro and it performs as I expect from G loomis, sensitive and powerfull.contact with the bottom and takes from fish are very easily noticed.the rod loads up nicely when the hook is set.casts with 3/4 oz jigs with craw trailors and as light as weightless senkos are easily casted.this has become my favorite rod.I have read reviews from other sources about the guides and reel seats being cheap,I have no complaints about these components,I have used them before and never had any issues with Fuji hardware. For the 6XD and DD22/DT16 or 20 I would go to the Heavy model.

The MH is perfect for 5XD and DT10 sized baits as well as the KVD 1.5 and 2.5.
