Bass are cover-oriented. Therefore, you must choose a rod with the right action to cast accurately, to fish the bait as it was designed, and to provide the power needed to bring them in to the boat. G.Loomis GL2 Casting Rods combine the power, sensitivity, finesse and actions to get the job done—all at an affordable price. These completely re-designed GL2 Trigger Rods feature a split-grip handle engineered for high performance bass fishing. Anglers who prefer to put the rod butt under their arm will discover that the rod’s unique, flat-sided fighting-butt provides ergonomic comfort. G. Loomis GL2 Casting Rods are light, strong and reliable. Made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Casting Rod! Purchased my 1st G.Loomis rod for bass fishing in 2013 and paired it with the Shimano Core baitcaster. My expectations were exceeded. It's strong and gives you a great sense of feel. I look forward to my next G.Loomis. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Rod I really like this rod. It is extremely sensitive and really comfortable in the hand. I have it paired up with a Lews TL1H and I couldn't be happier. If you haven't experienced a Loomis rod, I strongly suggest this one. October 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by G loomis GL2 6' mediun heavy casting rod Wonderful fishing rod. Very beautiful and spectacular quality. Only the reason for which I not give 5 stars is because I'm comparing with other fishing rod that I have, "a shimano cumara 6.3 "mediun heavy". Similar price, same quality, but shimano is much lighter and makes a better set with a shimano aldebaran casting reel. Anyway a stick and I recommend it to all delights and sports fisherman. A 6' to 7' medium to medium/heavy rod with a moderate tip would work well for Texas, Alabama and Wacky rigs.

A:
For the 6XD and DD22/DT16 or 20 I would go to the Heavy model.

The MH is perfect for 5XD and DT10 sized baits as well as the KVD 1.5 and 2.5.
