G.Loomis GL3 Trigger Rod
I have used this rod for approximately 2 months and have landed several good size Bass of 4 lbs +. The first cast and retrieve let me know this rod is superior to any rod I have used before. I am sold!!! I will use this rod for all of my Bass fishing needs. I have a Shimano Curado mounted and the overall feel of this rod is incredible. The sensitivity is better than anything I have used in the past. I have never fished with a rod like this before and cannot say enough good things about it. The combination of the rod and reel is extremely light weight and provides the feeling of being able to cast all day without any concerns. Buy this rod and you will not be disappointed!!!!!

only one prob.
i have had a 6' medium action of this rod for about 5 months. it is super sensative works great with all typed of baits. one day i was at my creek spot drop shotting a grub and latched on maybe a two pounder. all i did was pull the fish out of the water to land it and the rod tip snapped 4 guides down in the middle between the next guide. i expected more duribility out of a $200 g- loomis but i think it had something to with the rod being alittle to stiff. but the warranty service is great and they ship you a new rod for between $50 to $65 depending on how fast you want your new rod no questions asked.

In the past several years I have become a huge fan of G-Loomis rods. Their exceptional feel and power has far exceeded my experience with lesser quality rods. I opted for the GL3 series for its length-weight availiability and fair price tag. I opted for the 7ft heavy action with a fast tip. I have been using it to fish small summertime jigs. The tip is very responsive while the length allows me to work the water column efficiently. The heavy action is not at all heavy; rather, it is a light rod for its inherit characteristics. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Sensitive, strong, everything you could ask for!
I paired this rod with a Shimano Chronarch 150, and the first thing I noticed was the outstanding sensitivity with less weight than my Fishing Tackle Unlimited "Green Rods", which are great in their own right. The sensitivity allows you to feel fish when they are biting very light, and yet it has the beef to handle oversized Redfish (over 28" in Texas). I own a G2, and this G3, while not as stout, has every bit the backbone. Yes, this is an upscale rod, but you know, sometimes you get what you pay for.
