This is great stuff and I would not fish without it. It does lighten the color of your fly but it enchances the visibility in the process. Requires frequent application. Use "oil like" floatants first and add this as a secondary treatment. I wish the bottle would have a smaller brush and neck. A significant portion of the bottle is actually wasted in the application process. I like to open a new bottle and CAREFULLY refill a empty bottle about half way leaving me with 2 "half bottles". You waste less that way
