For the price and quality, it's not bad for cutting fries. I like the fact that it comes with two different cutting grids (I prefer thicker fries). The one thing i don't like is that you can't use a whole potato. You have to go ahead and cut it up. But other than that, works great, even bought one for a friend for Christmas.

I bought this product about 3 years ago. It is a little small to use with large potatoes but that easy enough to fix by cutting the potatoes down some. I broke a blade off within a year but it was still usable. I broke another blade off several months later and it still worked with 2 blades broke off the same cutter (the thicker one). I have now ruined it and came here to purchase my second one and some as gifts! I will never cut french fries by hand again! My main complaint is that I have not been able to find replacement blades and MUST purchase a whole new cutter. And it is hard to clean.

It will cut medium and small potatoes, even some decent size. However, the 2nd time my wife used it the washer came off that holds the rod that operates the suction cup. So now you have to try to keep it from running away while cutting, if you can. The level doesn't give much room for pressure which is needed to push the potato through. So you have to attempt to hold the thing in place while pressing down and forward. The blades are decent but the design is flawed and cheap. Don't waste your money on this one. Either cut by hand of get the 99.99 one.

This product works fine, however if you have big, long potatoes they wont fit - I always have to cut some off each end to fit into the cutter; not a big deal but if it was one inch longer! With that said, I use it all the time and it works great.
