Solid I am new to the shooting sports so please take that into account. I started shooting with my son a few months back and we purchased a Remington Versa Max for him. I didn't want a semi auto gun for myself and waned something that was aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. I've never been a fan of the synthetic finishes on a gun. On my first day out with the gun I shot in a Sporting Clays tournament. The functioned perfectly. It was light and easy to carry for the day. Previously, I was shooting a Remington 1100 Trap and it was a lot heavier so fatigue sat in earlier in the day. As I said, I'm a novice shooter so lugging around a heavy gun all day (yes, I know they have carts) tends to put some stress on the old muscles. We shot 100 rounds and I could have easily done another 100. I like the feel of the gun when swinging it to site in targets. It's a little shorter barrel than my previous gun so it seemed to move a lot quicker on the targets. Overall, I think this is a great gun for the money. It's pretty, functional and hopefully one that I can use for a long time. November 3, 2014
