The Trout Net is designed with an 11'' x 15'' teardrop hoop, 8'' wooden handle and a deep clear, tangle-free rubber basket that protects fish’s slime and prevents hooks from snagging. This trout-and angler-friendly net includes a handy elastic lanyard with a clip closure for hassle-free attachment to fishing vest, chest pack or belt loop. Imported.

Good for the fish AND the fisherman This net is a great solution for the trout fisherman. No tiny netting to get flies/hooks tangled in, plus the rubber is said to be better for the fish. I'm all for that. Others have mentioned that this net feels heavy to them, but the first time I went out with this net, I actually had to check several times to make sure it was still hanging on my vest. No weight issues for me. March 15, 2011
Great Net Great catch and release net that that doesn't tangle or catch hooks allowing safe and easy release of fish. Only downside is it is a little heavy. January 3, 2011
Does not fit the hand I read all the reviews. I was encouraged enough to buy the Frabill and save the money over the more expensive versions. But now, it's going back. At issue is this: The handle is is 1-1/2" wide and 5/8" thick and while the edges are eased, it's blocky. There is not comfortable way to grasp this thing. I have XL hands and getting a good grip on the thing is tough. It's shame because the fit and finish of the net is very good. It is, as others have said, on the heavy side. But the snag-free netting is excellent. I want to like this net. But if I am going to have a tool, I need it to fit the way I work. December 10, 2010
Good Deal This is an excellent catch and release net that performs just as well as the higher price models. The only problem with this net is that it is very heavy and that is why I gave it four stars instead of five. September 28, 2010

A:
The total weight of the net is 13oz. However, the majority of the weight is in the netting itself, so it feels heavier than it really is.

I hope this helps.
