Rated 5 out of 5 by Bass Pro Shops products As always, BPS has given me a quality product that I have come to expect from them. I have purchasing their products for years now and everything from fish hooks to clothes has been perfect! Great Job BPS!!!! April 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Great The bait bucket works great. I put 2 dozen shiners in the bucket with the aerator on and left it in the garage overnight. I was a bit skeptical as it is pretty hot out (Florida), but they were all still alive in the morning and were still going strong when I gave the last three their freedom after a day of fishing. Two D cells kept it running the whole time. May 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent minnow bucket I am very well pleased with the insulated aerated minnow bucket. I already have two of the small battery powered aerators and used them in other minnow buckets. This one keep minnows alive and healthy much longer than anything I have used before. May 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Perfect Keeps my bait alive for hours. When I go to use the bait, they are very lively! Battery last very long too. April 23, 2012

A:
It does both. Floats great, just remember to put it in the boat before you go trolling or else it will kill the minnows.

I put two dozen shiners in without a problem, so I would say at least a dozen or more.

I bought the pump by itself. I'm not aware of it running on a 12 volt charge. I am sure that it runs on 2 D-cell batteries. I use mine a lot and I have had it for about 3-4 months. I have yet to replace the batteries in it, though, it is getting about time to. I hope this is helpful!
