Rated 5 out of 5 by Bingoman1 BEST NET EVER! Let me start off by saying that this is the most convenient net on the market. It has a wide opening and a long reach but compacts to a size that is easy to walk along the creek with. The very FIRST time I had to use this net, I had a 22 inch Rainbow Trout on my line and the mouth of this net was perfect, the trout fit in it with no problems! Many creeks have high banks and the reach that this net provides is very helpful! Don't think twice, get it, you will not be let down! April 4, 2011

Details:I was wondering if the netting is strong and small enough to be used to scoop out frogs and tadpoles from under bushes in ponds.
Details:is this net packable ? how big is it closed up ? can i deploy it 1 handed?
is it durable enough for packing in to river
A:yes this is packable. 24"x3" when I was in the river, I kept it at its shortest length of 24" with the hoop looked open, and hung it on my side, and it worked well. To deploy it more than 24" you need two hands. And yes,it is most durable for the river.
A:The Frabill net is packable and is about 20" closed. Packs in the back of my trout vest. Only takes a second to open the net.
