this net worked very well! adjustable length, easy adjustable lock for the length desired, and the durability. I'm really impressed with the material of the net, easy for catch and release, and the ease of getting the hooks out. It's great the way it folds up for compact travel when walking the river. And this size of the hoop is great for big fish. I'm very happy with this product!

I purchased this net to use on my kayak fishing for trout. The net itself folds up and stores nicely and is really easy to open and use. When I was using the net, the first thing that I noticed was how easy hooks get caught in it. I would say that that is the nets greatest downfall. I was using a single hook mini jig fishing for trout and every trout I netted the hook somehow managed to get caught in the net. If the mesh netting was made from a different material the net would be great.

I bought this net to use for trout fishing while in a canoe. Compact, space saver, and ease of netting are a plus. Problem is on the second trout I netted I had to cut a small hole in the net in order to retrieve my treble hook roostertail. Seems treble hooks easily embed themselves in this net and are almost impossible to remove without cutting them out. Love the frame, trying to find a replacement net that is friendly to treble hooks. I believe this would work ok with single hooks. Hope this reiew was helpful

I was wondering if the netting is strong and small enough to be used to scoop out frogs and tadpoles from under bushes in ponds.Answers
A:Â
The netting is 3/16" mesh, very strong netting, should be able to scoop frogs anyway.Details:Â
is this net packable ? how big is it closed up ? can i deploy it 1 handed?is it durable enough for packing in to river
Answers
A:Â
yes this is packable. 24"x3" when I was in the river, I kept it at its shortest length of 24" with the hoop looked open, and hung it on my side, and it worked well. To deploy it more than 24" you need two hands. And yes,it is most durable for the river.A:Â
The Frabill net is packable and is about 20" closed. Packs in the back of my trout vest. Only takes a second to open the net.Top 250 Contributor
