This crawfish trap, I have used several times, is only good for about three crawfish for a whole night doesn't really work i can catch more by hand in 20 minutes!!!

These traps will work anywhere there are crawfish present. Basically stand on the shore and observe the edge of the water. If you see crawfish there you can throw your trap in. Best bait I have seen work is fish scraps. Freeze your scraps from your fillets in a bag, throw the frozen scraps in the trap and put it in the water.Details:

you can use wet cat food in panty hose to to get crayfish that is what i do all you have to yo ir you some where to make it not open and tie it to the i trap or a rope and if you tie to to a rope then then you see them tere to eat it then pull up on it

I don't have one of these traps but I would use dogfood or place some in a piece if panty hose and wire both ends shut and hook or wire to bottom and place trap on bottom of creek or where ever you r planning to use it. The dogfood will seep out and draw them in and the pantyhose is thick enough to make sure that not too much comes out at once. I hope that this might be some help for you.
