I have three of these and they are excellent. Raccoons were tearing up my three feeders by sticking their paws through the built in varmint guards surrounding the spinner plates and breaking them. I installed these around the bottom of my feeders and then removed the built in varmint guard from the feeders. I haven't had a problem with raccoons since I installed these over a year ago. My feeders also throw out corn further since removing the built in varmint guards as well. I tried everything else (pvc pipes and tack strips on the legs) but the raccoons still managed to get to the motor.
