These are great to use for marinating food. I would like to see them in a much bigger size for larger cuts of meat.

I love to make Indian food. The meat is oftentimes marinated in a spiced yogurt. Usually it takes 12-24 hours for the flavors to soak in really well when I use chicken pieces. I bought this for the sole purpose of speeding up this process so I could marinate & cook on the same night.
Alas, for this purpose it is utterly useless. Absolutely none of the flavors penetrated the meat - not the spices, garlic, ginger, lemon juice or yogurt. I let it sit for 2 hours. I gave it a "poor" for value because out of all the piece of kitchen equipment I own I only use my air popcorn popper less.
I also tried it once with an oil-based marinade. I don't like that you have to use so much marinade (it's supposed to cover the meat) so I tried it with flank steak for fajitas since that's pretty thin. This is usually a 2-3 hour marinade in the fridge but I got pretty much the same intensity of flavor after 1 hour with this product. So, if you just want to cut a short oil-based marinate time in half, it works.
What I have used it for most is just to store leftovers that won't fit in mason jars if I know we're not going to eat them for 2 or 3 days. In the few months I've had this, I've used it maybe 3 or 4 times for this purpose. The seal held & it worked...it's just not worth the cost for simply holding leftovers in the fridge. Usually I just pop them into the freezer bags & vacuum them so we can have them whenever though.
Overall, it was a waste of money and a huge disappointment for me. I love the freezer bags & the wide mouth jar sealer but this is overrated especially for the price.
