FoodSaver® Jar Sealer and Wide-Mouth Jar Sealer
too much work
I have tried to use this reg. mouth sealer many times...it will seal 1 out of 4 jars. Can't find a thing wrong with the jars but it just won't seal them. It doesn't have a leak because it vaccuums and shuts off. Each time it doesn't work I have to move everything to another jar and try again. I'm not very happy with this purchase

Not as described
Only had the single regular size lid. Based on heading "Jar sealer and wide mouth jar sealer", I took AND to mean both.

I purchased this jar lid sealer to seal jars of dehydrated jerky and fruit. Works perfectly and seals the jars like I need it to.

They worked great
The jar sealer lids worked great, they sealed the jars well, would recommend them.

You use the flat metal piece...it has the rubber seal on the underside...DO NOT use the metal ring until you have completed the sealing process..then you can replace the ring or leave off..your choice...I prefer to replace the metal ring..just in case the seal is displaced (kids or animals messing around in hiding places-like closets or under the bed)..so I make sure the ring is placed back on when the jar has a final seal.

yes, metal top, with small rubber sealing ring attached, that goes onto the jar itself
Yes you do use the "metal top" or lid. Put the lid on, then the jar sealer over it onto the jar. Attached with the vac. tube to the vac. (I use the "canister" setting on my FoodSaver machine.) When the machine goes off. Remove the Jar Sealer from the jar. The remaining "lid" is sealed. The ring can go on afterward but do not cinch it tightly. Just "finger tight" will do.
