Rated 5 out of 5Â by delighted This is a great new tool
Ordered both the regular and wide mouth jar sealers and both have worked without any problems. Had read that some people are having trouble with the regular size but each and every jar sealed the first time. No do overs. I have only had it for one day but have used it for trail mix, oyster crackers, pine nuts and small amounts of shredded cheese which I buy in bulk. Even worked great on jars saved from pickled beets. Great investment!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HatmanMike Excellent addition for the Foodsaver
Just opened up my package from Bass Pro. Ordered the jar sealers, the regular mason jar sealer is on backorder.
I did get the widemouth jar sealer also. I just sealed 4 jars testing the thing and it was perfect operation everytime. We then took our Brow Sugar and placed it in 2 widemouth quart jars and sealed them.
I'm very happy with this product, so far it has worked flawlessly even though I've only done 6 seals. I can see it's going to be pretty handy for leftovers for the fridge as well as pantry items that would be better vaccum sealed.
I'll give the Widemouth Jar Sealer a 5 star rating.

I ordered the FoodSaver wide-mouth and medium-mouth jar sealer. BPS was the only website offering availablity of the medium-mouth size. This was my first purchase from Bass Pro Shop and it was a breeze ordering online and the items arrived on-time and in perfect condition.
I am vacumm sealing dry foods in Mason jars for my long-term food storage needs. These jar sealers are a must and they work like a charm. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I am a beginner in long-term food storage and I highly recommend this method to anyone.

I was on the site ready to order another regular jar sealer attachment when I decided to read the reviews. The sealer did NOT work. So I tried 2 lids, as suggested, and it works great now. I hope Foodsaver works on improving this sealer.

No it does not. Had to purchase from a different place. Was not offered when purchased.A:Â
Yes, the cap is included. FoodSaver® Regular Jar Sealers replace standard Mason-type jar lids to create a vacuum seal that locks out air, the enemy of freshness. Not to be used for canning. ThanksAnswers

You use the flat metal piece...it has the rubber seal on the underside...DO NOT use the metal ring until you have completed the sealing process..then you can replace the ring or leave off..your choice...I prefer to replace the metal ring..just in case the seal is displaced (kids or animals messing around in hiding places-like closets or under the bed)..so I make sure the ring is placed back on when the jar has a final seal.A:Â
yes, metal top, with small rubber sealing ring attached, that goes onto the jar itselfA:Â
Yes you do use the "metal top" or lid. Put the lid on, then the jar sealer over it onto the jar. Attached with the vac. tube to the vac. (I use the "canister" setting on my FoodSaver machine.) When the machine goes off. Remove the Jar Sealer from the jar. The remaining "lid" is sealed. The ring can go on afterward but do not cinch it tightly. Just "finger tight" will do.A:Â
Yes. Use the Ball reg jar lids, and the metal ring1 of 1
