I love the jar sealer. I am a able to vacuum seal dry goods in jars and they last much longer. I had 2 of them that didn't work but this one works fine.

Finally a product that performs as advertised. Wish I had purchased this years ago. Now I can utilize all my Canning Jars in stock for brown sugar, flour, spices, even marinating veggies in oil or vinegar! This is a moneysaver!

No, you have to have one that came with the foodsaver machineA:Â
No. I ordered my FoodSaver vacuum with the plastic tubing attachment.A:Â
No it sure doesn't.A:Â
No it does not. Had to purchase from a different place. Was not offered when purchased.A:Â
Yes, the cap is included. FoodSaver® Regular Jar Sealers replace standard Mason-type jar lids to create a vacuum seal that locks out air, the enemy of freshness. Not to be used for canning. ThanksAnswers

You use the flat metal piece...it has the rubber seal on the underside...DO NOT use the metal ring until you have completed the sealing process..then you can replace the ring or leave off..your choice...I prefer to replace the metal ring..just in case the seal is displaced (kids or animals messing around in hiding places-like closets or under the bed)..so I make sure the ring is placed back on when the jar has a final seal.A:Â
yes, metal top, with small rubber sealing ring attached, that goes onto the jar itselfA:Â
Yes you do use the "metal top" or lid. Put the lid on, then the jar sealer over it onto the jar. Attached with the vac. tube to the vac. (I use the "canister" setting on my FoodSaver machine.) When the machine goes off. Remove the Jar Sealer from the jar. The remaining "lid" is sealed. The ring can go on afterward but do not cinch it tightly. Just "finger tight" will do.A:Â
Yes. Use the Ball reg jar lids, and the metal ring1 of 1
