Nice 13 pounds Peacock Bass. Flie green whit orange belly its nice for the peacock bass. April 11, 2011
Bass Fly Fishing I am a New Mexican Trout fly fisher and recently made a trip to Mississippi to give Bass fishing with a fly rod a chance. These poppers in the FlyH2O kit had the local guys looking at me like I was crazy Bass fishing with a fly rod. The looks went away and the questions began when I began catching nice fish with these poppers. Give these guys a chance and you'll never go back to spinning rods when you can catch Bass with a fly rod. By the way, the rod and reel were 6 weight, the rod a 9' four piece. Fun - Fun - Fun. Good purchase I'm a rookie fly fisherwoman. We fish primarily for bass. Took the poppers out on the lake today and caught my two largest bass on a fly rod to date. One 4.5 and one 5lbs. Great fun. Good baits in my book. May 5, 2012
Explosive I live in Georgia and have used these flies while fishing in a local river and the results can only be described as EXPLOSIVE! The bass would just CRUSH these flies. One hit it so hard he left the water and another actually made a big V in the water while attacking it. November 19, 2007

they are aimed at reds, stripers, and blues, and inshore salt usage. the smaller flies like the crease would do great on a 6 wt, but the larger flies would be a bit of a stretch. unless you are an ultralight guy, I would get an 8 or even 9 wt. to flip these heavy wind-resistent flies around.
