I wasted an hour trying to attach them to a fly line, total waste of time, shrink tubing would not hold!!

The boiling water method did not work for me. Light bulb method did but I used a 250 watt light and just rotated the shrink wrap very close to the bulb but not touching it. This product works well in terms of floating but it definitely weighs more than the connector I had prior. So if you like your line to slowly descend onto the water when casting you will definitely feel a difference that you may not care for. One last detail, the shrink connector has a tendency to catch on the guides when bringing a fish in which can be annoying.

I have used these for the last few trips and find them to be very user friendly. They also float better than a tied leader/tippet. I used a 100 watt light bulb to adhere the connector and it worked really well. The Bass Pro Shop pro said that he had used a light bulb with success. You just connect the pieces and gently roll it on the light bulb until it melts. You can't pull it apart.

great for connecting leaders or sink tips, my advice is to NOT do what I did and use a lighter to shrink the tubing, as I melted the loop connector and had to buy more, heat up a kettle of water to boiling and then pour it over the shrink tubing, it'll be hot enough to shrink the tubing but not enough to damage the loop.
