This stuff actually works Now I admit to watching a few fishing shows here and there, and while the crazy product placement approach gets on my nerves it did hook me up with some of this magic. I use the Shad scent on my Creme Mad Dad Minos, cast away and holly smokes the fish hold on tight. There are several mornings (I fish almost every day) where I'll cast a few out (same lure) without the scent. I'll get a few strikes here and there but nothing major. I'll rub some of this on each side (two swipes) and repeat my pattern and BANG!!! the fish are on like you can't image, and it's funny the hook sets are really good too. I'm fishing in brackish water catching a lot of white perch and some medium strippers on this stuff. It really makes a difference. June 22, 2012
Better than gel or spray. I'm not sure is attractants actually attract fish or hide my smell, but I do notice a difference when using them, and this one is no different. It is better than most because applying it is easy, and it does stay on longer than others. The only catch is that you need to keep it kind of warm, especially during cold months, or you won't be able to spread it on as easily. October 29, 2014
Best Attractant! This product is awesome. I was not a big fan of attractants until I tried Fish Sticks. I hated the mess of the drip and spray applications, and often would not let a non boater use attractants in my boat. Now I use Fish Sticks on all my baits and will let the non boater use a stick while fishing in my boat. This attractant stays on the bait longer and is easy to apply (just like chapstick). The other great thing about this attractant is one stick lasts forever. I have yet to get to the bottom of one, however I have lost a couple over the side of the boat. I've had good luck with both scents, but I prefer the shad with anise in it. For whatever reason, I feel like I get more bites with this one and will use it on jigs and worms, as well as crank baits. excelent for hard baits. This product is excellent for hard baits like crankbaits. At the first of the year it seemed to hard to use until it warmed up some. It then got soft enouph to aply well and after even 2 hours my crankbaits still had a good smell to it and no need to reaply. it is a very excellent product and understand why Keven VanDam uses this product. I recommend it to anyone,,, it works. For the money it last a very very long time. Don't let the 10 dollars scare you its well worth it and last longer for the price than any liquid attractant. I recently purchased the Shad Fish Stick. I LOVE IT,IT WORKS,on my soft & hard swimbaits & my crankbaits!! My only concerns are how often do i apply to a lure,& if left on permantly or for too long, will it affect my cranks in a negative way? Such as discoloring my cranks & ruining the original color scheme,or rust my hooks & split rings if accidently gets on them? Any help is Appreciated,& Thank You for Your Time...Good Fishing

I've been using this product for probably 4 months now and like you, I use it all the time on my cranks. Usually depending on the length of cast I'm making dictates how often I apply fish sticks. If I'm catching fish I wont apply again until they stop. Other wise if they are biting slow usually about every 20 to 30 cast when making long cast. Fishing in bayou's where long cast are not available about every 50. Don't forget to get you some crawfish for your worms and creature baits because if you thought the shad works well you will really like the crawfish. I've never noticed any discoloring of my baits or rust on split rings or hooks. Hope that helps you and good luck.

I don't about the Shad Fish Stick but go get some Shad Kick N Bass and use it as liberally as you wish. It will NOT harm your baits in anyway. Be careful not to get it on your clothes or the carpet in your boat as it is 100% fish oil. Get you some and I promise you will get your arm jerked. Okieboy61

I would not use it on a crankbait unless it says you can on the package of the attractant. Use could damage the lure finish.
