Fish Hook Extractors
Took awile to learn how to use the hook extractor, but once you figure it out it is great. It's a little bit expensive though

Took a few catches before I got the hang of how to use this extractor, but along with my long shank pliers, I'm able to remove approximately 95% of my hookups. Illustrations on use could be a little better.

Wish I'd known...
I'm not crazy about the beveled end of the guide tube. This puts a preset twist into the hook so that you have to get the fish / hook oriented to the tool (which is hard to do if you don't want to take the fish out of the water). I'd have preferred a simple perpendicular grasp so that I could twist as needed to get the hook out rather than have the tool twist for me.

I have used the large stainless steel fish hook extractors for over three years. This is the second time I purchase the this fish hook extractor. I lost my fish hook extractor last year on a fishing trip in the ocean and between the bay where I live. I will not use any other brand of fish hook extractor since it is not well made. I prefer all stainless steel and it easy to use.
