Really helps get the hook out This is great for smaller fish with teeth or for some of all that don't like to touch fish like catfish. You reel them up and grab them with this and then use locking pilers/hook removers to remove the hook. You don't have to worry about the fish moving around because they can't move much when you get a grip on them. It helps with catch and release. June 21, 2007
Good, but could be better. I have one, and use it as a backup. The jaws seem to bend outward when holding a heavy fish,so I went back to a aluminum pair. These are not bad for small fish, but why settle for fishing for small fish, right? Fish big, go with metal. February 9, 2007
Not a good purchase I used this fish grabber and not impressed with it. It wouldn't hold the fish tight enough and you would drop the fish. January 5, 2015
Great purchase I was tired of getting slimed and stinky, so I bought one of these. One of the best things I have since I've been fishing, Wish I bought one years ago. I've used it on a variety of sized catfish and it held them all. Just break it in a little before using it on a fish. December 21, 2012
