Rated 5 out of 5 by Great weight These weights are great for downriggers. they prevent line twists and move through the water smoothly while trolling. I have lost a few overboard, but when I buy new ones I replace them with these. February 7, 2011

A:
This unit can use weights range from 4 to 20 lbs. A good guide to what pound weight to use is a minimum of one pound per 10 feet . Eight to ten pounds is typical for most moderate depth freshwater applications and ten pounds is typical for saltwater for walleye. Thanks
