Great product The BP downrigger weight is excellent. The weight has a rubber outer layer. I use the 10 lb. weight in salt water trolling for kingfish. August 18, 2014

Great weight These weights are great for downriggers. they prevent line twists and move through the water smoothly while trolling. I have lost a few overboard, but when I buy new ones I replace them with these. February 7, 2011

A:
This unit can use weights range from 4 to 20 lbs. A good guide to what pound weight to use is a minimum of one pound per 10 feet . Eight to ten pounds is typical for most moderate depth freshwater applications and ten pounds is typical for saltwater for walleye. Thanks
