Fin-Nor Inshore Spinning Reels
Most disappointing reel purchase I ever made.
This reel feels great in the store: nice weight, smooth crank, nice heavy bail. It is a nightmare to fish with. I use 10 lb braid to fish for blues-jigging plugs off a pier. I had more wind knots in 1 day fishing with the 2500 than I have had in my lifetime. There isn't enough room between the bail and rod for my hands--which result in beat up knuckles while attempting to jig plugs. I still use this reel to bass fish, it has the best drag of any spinning reel I have ever used. It is useless as a pier plugging reel.

Lightweight, Strong & Smooth
This all-metal body reel ( ISF4000 ) has proven itself time and again against chopper bluefish, 5lb+ fluke, weakfish, and even several large ( 45 lb + ) cow nose rays. The drag did not fail or even hesitate, but remained smooth without straining. This reel is relatively small in size but large in line capacity and strength. When fishing for virtually any inshore species from a pier, jetty, boat, or even shore, the Fin-nor Inshore is a hard act to follow and difficult to beat at this price point.

Only lasted one season
I bought this reel for inshore fishing and it started seizing up within the first season. I rinse my reels after every trip and lubricate twice a season so I am pretty disappointed it did not last longer. The Fin-Nor Offshore is a good reel but I would stay away from the inshore model.

Great light reel
Have the 5000 series and love it. No prob for two years. I use it for surf fishing for stripes and bull reds. Light reel and cast a mile. Also it's made by the same company as van stall. If you know your reels you know they make the best
