I have to admit, I love my "toe shoes" (and socks)! But, the Fila's are not nearly as comfortable or minimalist as compared to Vibram FiveFingers. I have both Fila's and VFF's - Fila's are used for everyday casual wear and VFF's are used for fitness purposes. Fila's are cheaper, but sturdier in the sole - the reason I purchased them (not to mention I just wanted a plain black pair without flashy decals)! I plan to try out the Fila pair for early season deer hunting as well. My right heel pull tab broke after only a few weeks of minor use, the toe pocket for toes 4 & 5 is ok, but for some reason after a long duration of wearing the shoes, it feels as though my 4th toe gets cramped, and I did develop a blister on my left heal when not wearing toe socks - something that has never happened in my VFF's. but I tightened the straps on my Fila's and they fit fine now with no blisters and I can go barefoot or wear toe socks (I have the BPS black and white performance socks). These shoes are not waterproof, but drain/dry fairly quickly and have a tendency to not be as breathable when sweaty, but don't let that stop you - keep moving! I have washed them once in cool/cold water on gentle cycle with special "shoe wash" and let them air dry. I shopped around before purchasing and found them on sale for $29, which is cheaper than the $100 I paid for my VFF's. I have actually got my family into these type of shoes as my wife and oldest daughter each have the same pair of pink ez slides - daughter loves hers and it's her choice of shoe to play in! Overall, I would recommend them, just take proper care of them and know they are not meant to be a sneaker!

I bought these shoes because I was going to be climbing Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and I will tell you that these shoes are comfortable, and have great grip on wet surfaces. I actually enjoyed wearing the shoes throughout the duration of my cruise. These Skele-Toe shoes were easy to get on, and once on, I practically forgot that I was wearing shoes at all.

Great for not only fresh but salt water murky algae to sea weed. I actually stepped on a hook by accident and it didnt reach my feet! Very durable feels like they will last mold to your feet. I was making jokes about feeling like aqua man.
