The unique 5 piece design of Fenwick®'s Methods casting travel rods includes 1 butt section, 2 interchangeable mid sections, and 2 interchangeable tip sections so you can always be ready for multiple situations—no matter where you fish—and still pack light. It’s like having four rods in one! Spigot-style ferrules fit internally into each end for a stronger, more efficient connection, and the combination TAC and cork handles give comfort and control even when wet. Stainless steel guides with stainless steel inserts hold up to the rigors of travel. Travel rod tube included.

  • Dual Power Blank Technology – allows rod pieces to be interchanged to create multiple actions
  • Create 4 different rods in one rod tube
  • 5 piece travel rod design
  • Spigot ferrule blank connections
  • TAC/cork handle design
  • Travel rod tube included
Fenwick Methods Casting Travel Rod 4 5 1 1
Very functional Travel Rod I recently purchased 3 of the Fenwick Methods travel rods. I do quite a bit of traveling and always dread navigating airport terminals with long, bulky rod cases. I've also had to tape together damaged rod cases that had been abused by baggage handlers. Even the standard two-piece rods don't offer much advantage when flying. The Methods rods come in a 30" protective tube that fits easily in my standard checked bag, eliminating the need to check my rods separately. Although obviously not as sensitive as a good one piece rod, after fishing with them, they are plenty sensitive enough. Combined with the two additional rod sections, this makes the Methods series rods exactly what I've been looking for. One rod does it all. The heavier combination is enough rod to rip a Woodchopper along a jungle river and sensitive enough to drown a 10" Powerworm in a 25' deep El Salto creek channel. The lighter combination worked just fine throwing Pointers, Senkos and Texas-rigged worms. Not as sensitive as a comparably priced one piece, but good enough. I'd recommend the 6'-6" Methods rod for anyone who enjoys traveling around and chasing big fish that live in remote places. I can't wait to go back to Canada and try mine out on a few 20 lb. pike.
