'Toys' on the Family Farm Initial problem with the 2 single rod holders because the hooks would come loose {operator error} and fly in the wind as my 8 & 10 year old grandchildren drove the 10' jon boat with electric motor purchased this year from Bass Pro. I simply moved the rod holders to the front of the boat -- and let the children have fun. They like to come to Grandpa's because they can drive the boat on our lake by themselves and even ride their bikes without helmets. Not reckless, just teaching them to be responsible which isn't taught to our kids anymore. Thanks Bass Pro, you have the type 'toys' I use to teach responsibility to another generation. May 26, 2014
perfect retro fit this is an easy to install retro fit Rod holder if you don't mind drilling a few holes in your boat. The only one I could find and great for single applications. September 7, 2011
Great Holder for Limited Space An economical Rod Holder where there is limited space to mount on a 15 foot aluminum fishing boat. It has 2 screw holes instead of the competitor's one hole mount so it is secure and works well with both spinning and fly fishing rods with reels. August 29, 2011
ROD HOLDER The Fentress single rod holder works great on my boat to store rods while running, as well as holding rods while trolling. November 13, 2006
