Federal Premium Power Show Shock I walked a gunshow for 3 hours & they wanted $5ea for 00 Buck 2 3/4" shells.. That would be $25 for 5?? Walked into Bass Pro & they had every brand of imaginable & the Federal Premium Power-Shoks were $5.49 per box of five.. WHAT A DEAL!! They were just what i was looking for for self defence & deer hunting.. My Mossberg is now stoked with the Federal Power-Shoks.. My last Ruger 10/22 came from Bass Pro.. This place ROCKS!! Accurate & Effective These things pack a knockdown punch! I purchased these shells mainly for home defense, and have practiced at the range from a variety of distances. They hold a tight grouping out to 20 yards and beyond. A very good value from a dependable company. Will buy again for sure. November 28, 2013
#3 = dead coyote these shells are great for the money and out of a 20g with a mod choke they have great tight patterns and are perfect for that harder challenge of putting a coyote down! August 13, 2013
First online purchase I decided to buy shotgun ammo online due to shortages in local retail outlets. Great service, reasonable prices, and short turnaround time. I'll do it again. August 21, 2013

Hello All,

On the spec info, it says it has some sort of triple wad system AND that it is a good choice for Rifled Barrels or Rifled Choke tubes. Has anyone run these thru a rifled barrel. I would like to send them down range out of my 870 23" rifled slug barrel, when and if I encounter a coyote. I know typical buckshot will spin out of control even at short distances. Looking for something at 30-50yd range that could provide a succesful take down.

I have not used in a rifled barrel but from my hunting in the past i would use slugs at that range since you have a rifled slug barrel

A:
Heavier payload. Some are as high velocity as the 2 3/4 shell with a LOT more recoil involved.

A:
Because the three inch shells are pushing more pellets than the 2&3/4-inch shells, both lengths use the same powder charge, the only thing that is different is the amount of pellets.
