  • Specially designed for home protection
  • Expanding polymer
  • Large frontal expansion through barriers
  • High velocity with low recoil
  • Non-hollow-point design
  • EFMJ (expanding full metal jacket) construction
Designed specifically for home defense, Federal Premium Guard Dog Home Defense Ammo rounds are filled with an expanding polymer that minimizes over penetration through interior walls to help eliminate accidental injury to bystanders in other rooms or houses. Guard Dog ammo rounds open when they contact surfaces which allows them to slow and stop faster. Featuring EFMJ (expanding full metal jacket) construction, the high velocity, low recoil, and reliable feeding properties of this ammo makes it a perfect choice for defending home and family.

Details:
I have a colt defender. The gun doesnot like hollow points so im looking for a personal protection round that will feed with out jaming. So far ball ammo is all i've been able to shoot out of the gun. Does the Guard Dog ammo have a flat nose (which may cause it to hang in my gun)?
Thank you
Travis

A:
I gotta be honest. I am not a fan of defending ammo becuase all it is expensive hollow point. If I was you I would just find a cheap 20 box of hollow point and you will rock. Besides even with a FMJ if I hit someone they are not going to keep comming becuase I am going to unload a mag on them.
