I decided to buy this rod after reading the customer reviews on it.This rod is how it should be marketed and the way they should be built.By someone that loves what they do simple no extra bells and whistles just something built with attention to detail cost to the customer in mind which seems to be the forgotten thing in this day and age.

I bought 2-6'6ft med at a garage sale a few years back. I never really knew about falcon until then. I fell in love with the combination of sensitivity and backbone on this rod. Im from northwest indiana and live walking distance from lake michigan and a few other smaller lakes. Ive landed everything from brown trout, smallmouth, and perch on lake mich, big bass and smaller pike on wolf, and monster carp inbetween. i lost one in a car door accident but any rod would eat it. VERSATILE, ANY FISHING SITUATION THIS ROD FEELS RIGHT.

Have used this rod (5' ul) for trout with a shimano sonora and 4# p-line cxx. Nice action. A little fast. So far no complaints. My only dislikes are that I wish the rear cork grip was slightly longer and I'd really like a 2pc rod for traveling.

I started UL fishing some 20 years ago, and my first rods were berkley lightning rods. I soon up grated to Quantum and latter to St. Croix UL rods. 3 years ago I came across the Falcon UL rods and decided to give them a try. Am I ever glad I did! I now have 3 Falcon rods and use the others, yes including the St. croix, as back-ups only. Because with these Falcons you can feel even the slightest pick-up from any blue gill, perch, or crappie! So, If you are looking for a higher quality UL THIS IS IT. Don't waste your money on a rod costing more, because you certainly will not get your moneys worth. Oh, and yes, I have some G. Loomis rods as well, and well......... I still use the Falcons.
