Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality & Performance I purchased the Lowrider 6'-6" Medium to use for a various techniques and it performs to my high expectations. Falcon Lowriders have never failed me on the water, they have models to fit your need. Top section has the touch & feel and the bottom has the backbone to get the fish out of cover & in to the boat or on the bank. March 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent feel and quality I have four Falcon LR rods and the feel with each of them is excellent. Every bottom feature is felt while fishing plastics and the rods are very strong. Never had one fail. The finish quality is also excellent. January 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid rod with great backbone - very sensitive! The 6'6" MH coupled with a good spinning reel, makes an exvellent finess bass rod. It has a great backbone for playing large fish, and it has a very fast tip with great sensitivity. When light line and a very subtle presentation is in order, I spool up with some 6 LB copolymer line. This works great for drop-shotting, shakey head and small weightless/wacky worms. When fishing areas with structhre/cover - you can step up the line weight to 10 LB copolymer or flourocarbon and the rod has plenty of backbone to hadle it. It is a very versatile rod, well built and durable. I've fished mine hard for three years (year round fishing) and it hasn't missed a beat. The cork on the handle is very durable. While it doesn't have the snazzy split handle or other trendy cosmetics, it is a solid performer and sports a very classic look. July 10, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Rod EVER I have owned this rod for 6 years...it is still my favorite over the carbon fiber and the lights and heavies...it is sooo sensitive and can realy have some backbone when setting the hook. I have even reeled in a 15 lb blue cat with it. April 12, 2010

A:
I use the medium action for crank baits up to about a CD-9. More than that would probably be better off with a heavier action.

I personally prefer a medium action bait caster set-up for crank baits, but the falcon lowrider in 6' 6" with some 10-12 LB copolymer or flourocarbon, should work just fine.

Good luck!

I agree with him as well but I would still give it more credit...the 6'6 m rod will get the job done..whenever I crank I just put it on my older version which is a 6'8 medium light and it works great

Honestly, dtyukody, this would be a fantastic choice for drop shotting and soft plastic finesse tactics, but I can't recomend this rod for cranking. I would opt for a "softer" IM-6 casting rod, like the Crankin' Stick, for crankbait fishing (link below). http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...
