Rated 4 out of 5 by Best inshore spinning for the money but... I purchased one of these rods about three years ago. Mine is the 7' Medium action. It has been very durable( bent nearly in half when I paddled under a dock with it in the rod holder...oops) I have it paired with a Pflueger Supreme XT 9240xt and 10lb test. Very light and well balanced combo. Very fun with striped bass in the 20"-30" range. I see that these rods are know made in China. Mine clearly says made in the USA on it. The China version looks nearly identical though. I think I'm going to purchase one and see how it compares to mine. Really hope it is as good as the one I have now. November 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great all.around rod. By far one of the most sensative and long casting rods I own. I have several G loomis, including a 7ft 6 greenwater, which i considered the longest casting rod on the market. And this rod reaches.further. Great for reds and trout. Even has the power in the blank to handle big snook. Getcha some a these rods. October 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent rod First off - I have the 7-6 medium. (I wish other rod reviewers would state which rod size they have.) It is a one piece rod and doesn't travel as well as a 2 piece rod. The medium is actually a bit stiff but perfect for popping corks for specks. The rod loaded up nicely with fish on and the fish fighting experience was great. The reel seat squeaks a bit around the cork with my Stradic 2500 even when it is well tightened. I don't sense that the rod will break as other mentioned. I look forward to years of use with this rod. June 9, 2012
