I returned this, so I don't know how it functions. I ordered the kit online. When it arrived I was dissapointed with the finish on the barrel and the stock. The finish isn't as nice as the factory stock and barrel.

I purchased this stock and barrel combo to make my Ruger 10/22 more accurate, and it has definitly done the trick. Unlike most of the reviews I read before purchasing this stock and barrel about have to sand some parts of it down for it to fit properly, the one I recieved fit perfectly together with no problems at all.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by CamBearPig Beautiful facelift for the Ruger 10/22
I purchased this on 1/11/11 and I got it home, opened it up, installed it and just like the package said (installs in 5 minutes)....well not quite. I had to sand the inner walls of it to have the factory Ruger mags fit so they would not catch when inserted. After about 20 minutes of sanding it was a perfect fit. Went to the store, picked up some Krylon fusion Olive Drab plastic paint, sanded the whole stock down and painted it.
All in all yes i would have given this 5 stars if i didnt have to sand anything.
Excellent deal, very accurate, generally easy to install just make sure you have some extra time for some elbow grease.

The stock was very tight and the hole for the mounting screw didn't line up ,so it took a bit for grinding and sanding to get it to fit
