I purchased the Explorer Quad-Action swivel base as part of a refitting project on a 14-foot near shore craft for saltwater fishing. Product delivery was very fast. This swivel base is a high quality product, well made and easy to install. I had no trouble matching it to my helmsman's seat and the boat deck. It is sturdy and the locking swivel is excellent for stability while underway. This was not my fist purchase from Bass Pro, and it won't be my last....Good company, good service, good products.

The 6-bolt pattern on the 9-inch base is easy to install, but I'd be wary of using it on a one-man pontoon boat as the height (13 inches) along with the height of the seat would most likely result in poor stability1 of 1
